JOB SUMMARY:
This hybrid-role is responsible for company-wide strategic planning, development, implementation and maintenance of database, analysis, research and list rental services for profitable marketing applications and opportunities. Successful candidate will have solid database management experience complemented by direct-marketing experience. Responsibility to plans, develop, administer and maintain the marketing database, and analysis processes. In addition, responsible for ongoing relationship between external database vendor and all business divisions. Will also research and evaluate database and analysis opportunities to appropriate marketing areas, provide guidance and direction to all business units related to the use of data, analysis and research within marketing efforts, and to negotiates database and analysis services.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
•Master’s Degree in Statistics, Marketing, Computer Science or related field.
•5+ years experience in a database marketing, marketing analysis or related capacity.
•Experience with advanced statistical methods (SPSS or SAS) as well as experience with models such as Logistic Regression and Good Customer Match. Knowledge of other statistical techniques such as factor analysis and CHAID also essential.
•Proficiency with PC software especially Excel, Word, and database. Familiarity with AS/400 preferred. Willingness to learn and apply new computer software packages.
•Understanding of statistical and research methodologies both in theory and in application.
•Experience and knowledge with direct marketing industry and practices.
•Strong organizational skills required including a demonstrated ability to plan and organize work to achieve results.
•Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with both internal and external clients at all levels.
•Experience in managing relationships with outside vendors.
